The University’s MOA with KCP Holdings, Inc., Hong Kong was renewed for a period of 5 years, i.e., from SY 2012-2013 to SY 2017-2018. KCP Holdings, Inc. is the exclusive course operator of the Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurial Management (BSEM) program. There are over 100 Filipino and Indonesian students who are currently enrolled in the BSEM course in Hong Kong.

The signing took place at the University Boardroom of SMU last August 16, 2012. KCP was represented by its Chairman, Dr. Angel Ramos while SMU was represented by its President, Rev. Fr. Renillo H. Sta. Ana. Witnesses to the signing include Dr. John Octavios S. Palina, VPA & concurrent External Affairs Officer, Mrs. Venica S. Acosta, VP for Finance & Treasurer, and Atty. Herson S. Valmores, Dean, College of Law & concurrent Legal Counsel.

The new MOA included features like greater number of SMU faculty members who will be assigned to teach at KCP in Hong Kong, better quality assurance mechanisms that will conform to the standards of the University, and improved financial agreements that will be enforced for five years regardless of any fluctuations in the foreign exchange rates between Philippines and Hong Kong, among others.
